During this 2 hour workshop, we will explore the growing, processing and manufacturing of vegan bacteria-based leather. Not only will you learn to prepare a viable culture, you will also be able to take a starter culture at home for further experiments, using the recipes and know-how that you will learn during the workshop.

Afterwards, we will share our methods for post-harvest wet and dry bacterial membranes. This means that we will dry the fabrics, dyeing, sewing and designing. You can come up with your own designs.

The workshop will be held at the Brussels Open Biolab and is given by Niek D'Hondt.
